Registration for the Poker Run started at 8am in front of the Novato Theater. The participants were up early and ready to wind their way through West Marin/Southern Sonoma County. Stops include Point Reyes Station, Tomales Bay and Petaluma.
The Award Ceremony took place in the new Pini Parking Lot at the Nave Shopping Center. California Grill catered the event. We had about 15 cars and a ton of great food
Grant Avenue Classic Car Parade:
Parade started at 7pm with about 65 cars. The weather was just a little nippy, but the event was well attended
All the Classic Cars were staged on Sweetser between Machin and Reichart. Grant Avenue was closed from 7th to Reichart. Reichart will have a partial closing, to allow for customers to arrive to Las Guitarras Restaurant.
Parade Route:
Was from Machin, right onto Grant, across Redwood up to the ramp into the Wells Fargo parking lot at sixth street. The cars headed around the bank and exited through the ATM drive through ramp and heading East back towards and left on Reichart for the loop.
Music & Announcing:
Rich Rodgers, One Man Classic Oldies Show was rockin' it up on the Stage located at 2nd and Grant in the Bus Stop. The flat bed truck was donated by Mark Mund Trucking, thanks Mark. We had a lot of new cars this year. All of them absolutely gorgeous. Our Best of Show was a bright red 57 Chevy 150 our of Vacaville. Marc said is was 'Laser Straight". The Show started at 10am and lasted until 4pm. Tom and the Cats, as alway, rocked the show from 11 to 3. Marv was brilliant in the microphone. Marv really knows the cars, the owners and just plan knows everyting about the scene. Pam Hassley with announing as well. Marv and Pam together is a wonderful team.
